Catholic Relief Services (CRS) has been active in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1993, aiming at giving its contribution to the economic and social reconstruction of the Bosnian communities. CRS is hoping to make a significant and lasting impact on the economic recovery of BH, through microcredit activities based on the CRS lending principles, through the MIKRA Microcredit Foundation, founded by CRS, thereby promoting solidarity among all the community’s ethnic groups, supporting development of lower and mid-class entrepreneurs, and improving the economic status of women. The CRS vision understands an open and trust-based civil society in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with economic future in Europe based on partnership among all.
